TripleAlign EA
TripleAlign EA is a trend-following system that confirms trade direction using three exponential moving averages (EMA 20/50/200) aligned on the same timeframe. It filters for strong trends with ADX and uses ATR-based dynamic stops for precise risk management.
How It Works
TripleAlign identifies high-probability trend entries in four steps:
- Triple EMA alignment — Confirms trend direction when EMA(20) > EMA(50) > EMA(200) for buys, or the reverse for sells
- ADX trend strength — Requires ADX > 25 with directional index (+DI/-DI) confirming the move
- Price confirmation — Waits for a candle close beyond the fast EMA to confirm entry timing
- Overextension filter — Rejects entries when price is more than 1.5x ATR from EMA(20), avoiding chasing

Frequently Asked Questions
How is TripleAlign different from SteadyPips EA? Both are trend-following, but TripleAlign requires stronger trend confirmation (three aligned EMAs + ADX > 25), resulting in fewer but higher-probability entries. SteadyPips uses a simpler EMA crossover approach with more frequent signals.
Can I run TripleAlign alongside other EAs? Yes, on different charts. Use unique magic numbers (the default is 111501) to avoid conflicts with other EAs.
What happens in ranging markets? TripleAlign stays flat during ranges because the triple EMA alignment and ADX threshold requirements won’t be met. This is by design — the EA only trades when a strong trend is confirmed.
What’s the typical trade frequency? On H1, expect 1-3 trades per week per pair. The triple confirmation filter is selective, trading quality over quantity.
